Charlie my Giant Gourami

Makes me miss my giant gourami. Safest thing was was that he never even made it to a full year old. Had the pleco kill him during feeding time sadly so I never got to see mine get that big. But even only at 8 months old he was still 14in. Never even gave him a name, got him as a "female dwarf gourami" just to find out a month later that he was no dwarf lol. This was my guy btw. These pics were back from when I still made allot of rookie mistakes.

Yeah he may have been a very mean fish but he was still fun to interact with. He probably would've been allot nicer if I didn't raise him up with cichlids. He did act allot like my Oscars tho, very happy, wiggling and excited when it came to feeding time, that and he was a major pig too.

yeah aggression can be a major issue with GG. i chose to raise Charlie by himself to avoid the issue altogether

I honestly should've rehomed the pleco long before then. He had already been causing problems in the tank prior to the incident. Got the pleco as a gift, more or less, from an old highschool friend. He was roughly 14in when I ended up taking him to my lfs but had already kill 3 other fish beside the gourami. 1 pleco and 2 American flathead catfish.
