Something in your description or calculations indicated that you had used 6" in the calculator for a sump six inches across.

I did? I gata check that. If so then I ment a "pipe" or "cylinder" 6" across.

I havn't been able to find where I said anything about a 6" dia. pipe being the same as a 6" dia sump.

You may be confusing that with what I said here, which I messed up on...I should have caught it while typing.

6" diameter has an area of 28.25 cu/in. A Box 3.02 x 3.02 x 3.02 has about the same volume.

1 liter = 61.02 cubic inches I got 59.98 cubic inches

You must have calculated slighty wrong or you didn't use as many decimal points as you should have.

Everywhere on the internet, 1 liter = 61.02.
Google "1 liter to cubic inches".

59.98 = .9829 liters

Nope, you are mistaking area for volume again.
6" diameter cylinder that is 10.80" long equals 5 liters. I am not saying 6*10.80, saying, 6" by 10.80".

No, I mean you can't use the calculator for square shapes. The diameter is only for round pipes.
The calculator is. Correct. But like I said before, it does not matter what the dimensions are, volume is volume. 36 gallons in a 6" cylinder equals to a box cubed that is equal to the same volume as long as the dimensions permit.

You have been very loose with units and terminology.
Where? I have done some typos but I know my units.
