Haha sorry if I knew you were interested I would've asked however I was unaware, I only ask the price of fish that I am willing to buy. I'll put this fish on my list for next time.

I've seen hawks and owls before, I am unaware of what a juvinile bald eagle looks like as that's the most commonly seen one from where I'm from. Most of the birds aren't huge (yet) so I can't identify them.

I saw a peacock the other day

That's cool, but also soooo sad. Being from Alaska, I'm sure you can appreciate the beauty of a Bald Eagle (or any large bird of prey for that matter) in the wild. So to think that these are being sold as pets...uggghh...that irks me. Housing a large fish (ie. arapaima, piraiba, rtc and the list goes on and on and on....) properly is already a difficult if not unattainable task - BUT...to try and make an owl or hawk a pet just seems wrong. I doubt these birds are being sold for the purpose of falconry...anyways...cool fish pics...and I'm in no way trying to shoot the messenger... ;)

In some cases people want arapaimas as having large tanks or ponds is much more affordable than US prices. My local fish store owner who lives across from me said that RTC in particular are more expensive as they grow because people need them for their ponds, he said this goes for most fish.

Unfortunately some of the birds are kept in terrible conditions, but some are not. I've seen one or two stores selling parrots and owls in excellent conditions and I'm sure the owners of these animals will treat them with respect. However some falcons and owls I see are only babies, maybe 7 inches tall at best, and they are tied to metal cages with string while people constantly walk by them in the hot sun, its a horrible sight. I can only imagine how horrible it is to see someone buy these smaller owls and falcons for only $50 and ending up keeping it in a small cage. That's the state the peacock was in, it was in a cage literally only large enough for its body, it could not turn or walk.

I saw a flying squirrel baby just walking on the walkway/street and people may have crushed it, fortunately someone found it before it was crushed.
