cheap and easy to care for stocking options with a ten gallon and a Betta?

The Khuli loach is an idea but not the fancy guppy. They tend to be picked on By Betta's. I'm almost sold on the sorority idea though.

First off: Betta's can be with other fish. All of mine are.

Shellies would be too dificult for him

Kribs need 30 gallons

Paradise fish cannot be put in the same tank together

dwarf gourami's need 20 gallons

tetra's and barbs need 20 gallons.

pea puffers would be too difficult for him

If you ask for help dont be nit-picky wit their answer... But good job actually researching fish... jus dont point it out... its annoyin...
Other than that i thing neons would be a good idea and Neolamprovis brevis would be a good idea for a shell dweller. Theyre suprisingly simple to take care of.

Half moons aren't readily available or cheap. My half moons I bought for 20 a piece. Mollies cannot be kept in ten gallons. 20+ gallons and they do better as brackish fish.

i'm not saying their of great quality as you won't find any black or "red, white and blue" but petsmart has started loading up on them in the last 6 months or so. i wouldn't have seen any a year ago but i've been in 2 different stores in the last 6 months that had over 20 of them. halfmoons and crowntails.

i repeat, not great quality though

I think thats petco, not petsmart ! and some time you can find a good half-moon in there but got to visit often because good fish will be taken very fast !

I've seen them at Petco also, my dyslexia normally doesn't let me determine which is which.. but I remember right now...

Group of 4 females. Or you could add some tetras, a school of 6 atleast. Small catfish could work too.
