Hey guys my HOB filter broke and I'm looking to replace it with a canister I want around 300-370 GPH but a lot of canisters out there are really pricy and I'm on a tight budget. Any suggestions?

I am happy with my sunsun/aquatop filter. They are also as cheap as you can get on cainster filters.

I'm running a sunsun 303b for the past couple of months. Liked it so far. Put a bunch of pot scrubbers and some crushed coral in it. Super quite. Paid $80 for it on ebay.

I've been using a 2 of the Sunsun 304b filters for almost a year and they seem to be a decent filter for the money. Lotsa flow and didn't break the bank.
Can't comment on long term use, but so far so good.

The xp3 can be had for $ 105 on amazon!!

I like the sun sun, the only thing lacking is a good handle.

Yeah right? No idea why they didn't make it easier to pick up.

I also run 5 Rena's and they are my favorite as far as maintenance goes. Easy to pick up, parts are interchangeable throughout the line and they very easy to clean.

I have Fluval 403's and 203's - they are like new, but obviously not the newer models - make me an offer on one if you like, since I'm in Mass, too.
