Cheap filter for quarantine tank

I'm gonna get a 10 gal tank for quarantining, whats the cheapest filter I can get for use with this?

I got an aqua clear 20 on mine, cost around $15. Its rated for a 20g tank, for how little it cost I wouldn't waste my time looking for cheaper whether or not you want to oversize a little more is a different story. I figured the tank will be empty for 9 or 10 months a year minimum, and you can do a 50 % wc in 3 minutes so a bigger filter was a waste for me.

any small filter will work. I would get one rated above 10 gallons cuz over filtering never hurts

I have an extra sponge filter running in my 55 just for a QT tank if needed.

Yes, sponge filters are a good and inexpensive option for small tanks like that.

Sponge for sure. I always run one in my overstocked knife/birchir tank, just incase. Besides it helps the bioload capacity... Hydor VI running 8-10psi off my shop air compressor(properly prefiltered of coarse).

u just need a little air pump, some air line hose and the sponge filter to work, its cheap as chips to run
