Cheap filters for a 135g

I have 3 aquaclear110g filters and it works awesome.
 
I don't own one but I follow another list also and they all have been talking about the Aquatop Canisters everyone who has them seem to like it and you can get the largest model for about the same as two AC110's. I own a C530 Marineland and to me the Aquatop looks just like it. I know they say the media from ML will fit

The AC110 has one gigantic compartment similar to a miniature canister filter, put the sponge that comes with the ac110 on the bottom, then the biomax rings on top of it. done.
 
Well I'm planning to get 3 hobs but if I find an fx5 close to the price of the3 ac 110's I might just get that. Thanks for the replies.

Is biomax the best media for the ac110?

As stated above in my earlier post...

Use the sponge meant for the AC110 (made by Hagen) on the bottom, then the biomax (made by hagen for the 110) on top of it.
