good idea i never thoght of that but seen hatcherys feed this stuff

We have been buying in bulk from an ebay seller and cannot believe the savings but i'm not sure if it's appropriate to give the address... I just know our fish love the stuff and their colors-- especially the Hypsophrys Nicaraguenses (what a chore that was to type that out).Otherwise known as "Moga's" are coming into their colors unbelievebly nicely. I can Boast that a whole pound of the flake food costs less than 6 oz. at the feed store:)
Maybe you can PM me and I'll link you to that seller? I recomend him but I don't know if is appropriate to do that at this forum. I just know you won't be sorry you bought fish food from there.--

You could also try making your own super frozen food. Blend a bunch of stuff together and freeze it in a big ziplock bag and just break chunks off as needed.
You could put anything you wanted in it after you chop it to appropriate size. :)

I have been thinking of making some with beefheart daphnia spurlina and a few different kinds of pellets ground up in there with a dash of fish vitamins for fun ;)

Hmmm...I used to go to this feed store that had food for just about every animal. They had hay for cattle and horses, seeds for rabbits and birds, and pellets for fish.
