cheap fish to "try" to put with fahaka?

ive seen a video of a puffer in with RTBS and they were fine but this puffer was BIG not sure how yours would go with them

yes but exo's have a good tendancy to nibble on whatever they can, puffer not so fast, might make good snacking material for the exos...

the cheapist would be no fish but try some kind of barb tinfoils get big but would be my first choice the trick is to find a fish thats keeps to itself and doesn't pose any compition to the puffer or it will eleimanate it

Larger fish, like tinfoils, would probably be an easy target.
