Seems like a handy thing, replacing all power strips in my house with these...

Turn lights on/off

Pumps off for feed time schedule.

I’m going to play with it... Thought it may make for a handy tool, also I believe it will tell you energy use per outlet...

Contemplating cycling filtration on tanks on/off periodically as most of my tanks have 3 or more filters.

I was using WEMO (don’t buy garbage)

A little automation will help keep the hobby going.

Don't outsource your fish to china

LOL, agreed. Call me old school but I would trust that with my filtration, heating, etc, as far as I could throw it. Well, maybe not even that far. The more that can go wrong, the more that will go wrong, exactly why I have a layer of redundancy everywhere that I can. 2 filters, 2 heaters, etc

I was a skeptic too, and remain a bit....

The wemo I was using for some tasks even when it was floundering locally.... the “cloud” still knew what it was supposed to be doing and it operated appropriately...

Mainly using these for lighting, as I don’t have Fluval lights everywhere. I would obviously not be turning off heaters.

It may not be for everyone... I can monitor everything from my phone obviously to see if anything’s acting up.

It works better for me than these analog units, still using one for co2 but that’s about it

I have seen that same power strip and thought the samething!
I already have quite a bit of sit automation going so it doesn't make since right now. But definitely something I would try if I were do start fresh today.

I get lights that have timers built into themselves. The heater and filter are just pugged directly into the wall. :)

I've been using similar units on my tanks for 2-3 years, and I haven't had any issues (yet). I use the timer function with my lights, and the rest (heaters/filters/skimmers) are turned on/off during WCs so I don't have to unplug anything. I do use heater controllers and multiple filters on my tanks when possible though.
