ANSWERS:
A couple of you already know these but..
150LBS of playsand.
When I rescape the sand is flat for the most part but everyone digs and rocks fall into place, giving the natural look and feel.
The water stays clean due to the quilt batting(polyfil) I wrap around the intakes. they clog every two days though.

This tank has been up an running this way since sept 2007. with minimal aggresion issues but Ive been having problems lately.
my RD has been bugging my cross trying to mate but he is soo aggressive he doesn't get very far and she splits with him in pusuit. So he's been ripping the sht out of her. I installed some dividers.
and last night I was removing rocks and now my hand looks like DarkSideUp's avatar. Can I get an Amen RD-Midas owners.
The Jag is also female and the GT has been trying to get something going with her. She is at the bottom of the totem pole, but buddys up the RD/TEX, and they keep the GT in check.
Here are my plans for the near future. I only have another 55gal and a 30gal. The 55 is inhabited by some africans (1 Livingstoni . 4 male S. Fryeri.) 1 female convict and my Female Texas, mother of the Hybrid, physically scared for life from the RD. everyone gets along great.
I am planning to put the GT in with the texas in the 55 and if they breed I'll have feeders.
everyone else will go into the main tank and hopefully keep RD distracted enough to leave his daughter alone.....Yeah right.
Or, put the RD in the 55 by himself, until I get a 180
I am open to suggestions.
