[Man-made Monsters]

So here is the two month update on my SRD. Very happy with his development in size, fins, and especially his kok. His reds are bright during the day and at night they turn much more maroon in color, this picture was taken at night. He is currently just a tick over 4.0 inches. Eating a varied diet of Bug Bites Pellets, Grand Sumo Red, Frozen Bloodworm, and cooked Blue Claw Crab. In fact in this pic he is looking a little plump from his Grand Sumo Red Dinner.

Looking good. Indeed the white/blue eyes are very rare on an SRD like this being I don’t see any obvious Kamfa traits.

So here we are several months later.......He is between 6 and 7 inches. His growth rate slowed down as soon as he hit 5 inches or so. I also introduced him to a female around that 5 inch point because I did want to try and breed him. I knew that if he just grew up as a solo flowerhorn the odds of him accepting a tank mate would be rare. I'm hoping he will still grow a bit more; but even if he doesn't, his huge personality makes up for his smaller size.
