Posted this guy awhile ago, I was distressed because he was so skittish, well you guys were right hes about 9 inch now and patience has payed off, he is one mean tank buster I will post a vid later. Thanks for looking.

Thanks guys! Very true about these guys comig out of there shell and get aggressive at the 10 to 12 inch mark, they are truly beasts of the cichlid world. His new home will be in a 6 ft by 3ft tank where he can grow to his full size. Still working on a life tank for my umbee :-)

Thanks for the comments! Fishhman he has always been in a 6 ft tank at one point or another. Jason R I will have a vid of my little rapps umbees latet today :-)
 
How long have you had it? Coz mine is about the same size 9 inches but I cant remember when I got it. Looks exactly alike, I called him Mr.Ghoti assuming he's male, is he? Am still confuse about this male and female dovii differences maybe I'll post the new thread later with my Mr.Ghoti's picture. So is this dovii a Nicaraguan or Costa Rican, coz I got another dovii that's not as blue or dark but still can't tell which is which, but pretty sure one of 'em Nicaraguan. And what are gold and blue dovii? Which is which? Sorry guys, don't mean to interrupt Aquatik's thread, I am new at this!
