bushys get to be 6 inches long... but why would u keep them with piranhas... thats just insane..

i have 2 pairs breeding for me on a consistent basis.. wanna guess what tank they aren't in... the piranha tank

i have them in
1. a goldfish tank
2. my arowana/angels tank

i would think that putting them in with the Ps would make them too stressed out to come out, much less breed..

ummm they are right dude im not tryin to lie or say nething i mean it is ur tank but ok i had 2 rbp 1 8" 1 5" and a spilo in a tank together, got them all for free cuz a bunch of ppl were movin around and didnt wanna give em to a lfs so they tolerated eachother for about 8 months then 1 day i came home and the spilo was bit in half. the big one then preceeded with eatin the 5" too, they werent grown up together ether idk just a lil advice. also i no longer keep p's but i used to and all my cousins did too thats why i got all those for free. i love spilo's one of the most beautiful p's out their in my eyes

really cool, im thinking about setting up my 20 gal thats not in use right now and putting a couple of red bellies in, then selling them when they get to like 4in

Well i just like the bushy noses, plus they are small enough not to wreck my plants. I have never seen the P's mess with the plecos nor have i seen any damage on them. But truthfully i just bought a few of them and if they breed cool, if not, i still like the way they look. Trust me, i would like to get that cichlid out of there but he is harder to catch than the piranha. I try to drop some blood worms in there to get him to come to the surface so i can snag him, but he wont even come out of the bushes if he can see me at all. He really hates the net. And the piranha... every time i put the net in there to fish out some loose plant or something, they swim around with such force and anger that they kick up dirt and slam into things. I can't even imagine if i stuck the net down where they like to hang out. I also find it interesting that i have had 8 siamese algae eaters in there for over a month and they havent eaten a single one (those things take care of red algae real well). Anyway the tank is 150gal 48"x24"x29"

here are some pics
