why not get some plexi and silicone it to the tank to make a 1/3 water to land tank
I agree the whole fish tank in a fish tank is silly unless you bring that mulch up

he bites me everytime i hold him... :(

doesnt strike or anything when i pick him up, but while he's slithering around on my arm he'll just bite for no reason then let go.

well wait ten years and see if your still comfortable with this.....

doubt he will let go :ROFL::ROFL:

but yeah...cool snake, congrats

You could put a big log inside the water basin and increase the water higth a bit. I hope you have that REALLY big tank ready in time. By the way your heating the water basin rigth?

Wow, what a terrible enclosure......

Ok here is something everyone knows. Water is always found at the lowest ground level. In other words, you don't climb to get water. Thats a large, "un-natural" problem I see. Aslong as your ready to offer him a small pond for him to swim when hes larger, good luck.

I would think that wouldnt matter and it saves the whole tank from becoming wet .

Seems many non zoo enclosures with them use plastic pools ,etc that snakes have to climb to get to water.

And you're okay with that? If a snake did that to me, I'd introduce it intimately to one of these

lol thats just the nature of some types of snakes . Its rare if they don't bite and these types of snakes are one of those types . Some individuals worse than others.

BTW nice set .

Would you have to heat the water if the tank was heated?

They found one not long ago here eating ducks . Must have been before cold wave.
