try not to keep in a pond. I have put two silver aro in my pond and a week later one jumped out. The other one jump out the next week. I just bought three and put them in a 5 ft tank.

wow good looking Arow's and best of luck with them..

now, this tank is 8x8 ft round. 30 inches high. Ive filled it 3/4 of the way up which is PLENTY of water for the stingrays and the arowana. Matter of fact it might still be considered understock. I have two large pond filtrations which does a very good job of keeping the water crystal clear. These arowanas are tank raised from 8 inches and hand fed. They have never jumped or attempted to jump out of this pond since I have had them. They seem to be a couple since they do swim together a whole lot and swim circles. I do not know for sure but that would be my best guess. Iv raised aros for almost 5 years from silvers to jardini's. I am no amatuer with stingrays either going on 4yrs with them. To that person who is giving me advice on how to keep fish, please get more details before you do so.

They look awesome in that pond.

Ive not removed them from the pond and I am not going to cover the pond. They are fine. Matter of fact when i did put a cover on the pond, it freaked them out so no.

I would just put a screen over it.. something they can look through and so can you..we even have a glass cover over our pond in basement for the gold fish..not because of jumping just keeps it cleaner and dust and stuff does not fall into it.. even though they're are powerful filters going... All arows jump sooner or later.. but i hope you can raise them without a problem. But it is an awful experience to find your big Arow on the floor dead just
because theres was no cover.. These guys are right because we have been through it.
