I just got back from an unsuccessful lunch. I went to Hobby Lobby and couldn't find any cheap flower pots, they were all $40 and I'm not paying that much to just break it when I get home. Plus they're all painted and have a sticker that says "not food safe". So I went to walmart where the garden center is apparently shut down for the season, go figure. So they didn't have anything. My next stop will be the home improvement store to get some sewer pipe. We're expecting 10" of snow tonight, so if it's coming down hard after work I'll go straight home rather than risk my life on the road.

Wow, 28" eh? Hmmm. I originally thought they maxed at 16". Oh well, more pressure to get my pond going. After all, I have that ARTC, TSNxRTC, and TSN that will all need a big home. He should fit in nicely.

I'm a little confused as both scotcat and Plant Catfish label this cat as only getting 16" max. How is it that lophius had one at 28". Do you have any pictures of yours?
Tonight I got some 5" pvc and made a nice hiding spot for him. Then I siliconed the divider in place so hopefully that will hold them apart.
there may be some photos on here somewhere, although they are likely to be 4 years old at least so may have been deleted - the fish was still growing when it died (obviously not at the point of death) - it was a power failure coupled with a sand substrate and a major regurgitation that killed the fish.
unfortunately not too long after I lost the fish I split up with my ex and pretty much lost everything - including computer.
the only photos |I have now are some close ups that i managed to retrieve from the web last year, neither of which show anything to scale - just head shots.
Don't believe everything you read on planet catfish or scotcat - theres are lot of non accurate info - i seem to remember that machete had a big one - i think that was at least 2ft.

Yeh i remember Machete's fish, it was a beast, sure he said it was 28". remember the pic of it with his Ali gar when it bit it, think i may have a pic of it on my comp.
