this is a king diamond ,not a zz. hump was bigger ,he's getting used to his new home. got him from louhan4jersey. thank for the replies

Still a ZZ as far as I can see. That's not a bad thing of course. I'm still getting a hang on FH nomenclature and naming. Your breeder is obviously calling the strain "king diamond". However, the fish (even to my uneducated eye) shows all the ZZ chracteristics. SO I guess King Diamond is a ZZ strain.

Not king diamond. Its a lampshade pineapple donkey kong dragonhorn. haha
But really, Hes from Louhan4Jersey? Did you get him as a fry or something? I hope you didnt pay $200 for this fish because the ones L4J are advertising look much nicer. Full double row, big head, Fan tail, beefy doral fins, better shape.

Compare the facial features/tail and Im pretty sure you will see its a different breed. Theres too much ZZ in this fish.
