was at Petsmart yesterday to grab some frozen brine....found myself lookin ever so hard at all the tiger barbs...True Story

Man, you could be 100% pulling our legs and that would still be an awesome story.

Watch out that platy doesn't eat the lil guy.

They use UV to prevent cross-contamination. However, none of the stores I've visited could tell me that they either knew about the UV or when the last time was that the bulb was replaced.

Lol i work at petsmart and i wouldnt buy fish from anyplace but my store, but i know what happens behind the tank walls. PetSMART is supposed to make sure they quick cure the system every couple days but you know they dont. We do have a UV bulb but i would need to go look as to when it was replaced. We take good care of our fish but some have ick right now, but we just got one of the biggest shipments of fish ive ever seen. i damn sure wouldnt buy fish from PetCO

Suddenly, the Tiger Barb tanks at Petsmart have become very interesting. Nice pick up!

This why everyone has been eyeing my barbs!? I keep telling you bastards that they are aggressive. Pisses me off when everyone wants to put 4-5 koi in a 10g tank. Goldfish to! We do have a distributor down in FL, forgot the name. Get our fish on Tuesday around 11am

I've seen the setup at my New petCo up here. It's right in the middle of the store, so there is no "behind the doors" as to what there set up is, and I would rather buy a fish there any day as opposed to the crappy petsmart up here.

I applied at petsmart for their fish department, and they told me that I would need trained on how to do everything. I said fine. The first day of training I quit because I got in trouble for removing a dead fish in front of potential customers, and then I wrote on the tank, Not For Sale at this time. I was following the training manual I got, but my boss disagreed, and told me the fish in that tank were fine.

All of their tanks are disguisting. The water is slimy, and its NOT algae.
