Do LFS charge more for this? And if so I wonder if they take advantage of the clueless buyer by saying it is a "blue" aro?

Yeah been leary about the high shine and platinums, seems that there has been quite a few available lately.
 
Wait, it was literally dyed? I thought he was just commenting on its juvenile coloration; doesn't appear to be dyed to me...

They're available at LFS from time to time. Just like those "cherry" or "blue" arowana you've seen posted here... Plain old silver arowana with some sort of hocus pocus to get them sold faster... It's hard to sel a baby silver at $30-$40, but if it's made to look different, someone will buy them in a whole lot :grinno:
