Check out my tank

I just bought some fake plants and an air pump with 2x 12" air stones!!! i set it up and if i do say so myself it looks pretty hot!! lol. Ya i most likely will have to rehome a fish or 2 but im hoping the overcrowding might even out some of the aggression. Right now the Salvini is the boss of the tank and the flowerhorn is runner up. I never knew a salvini could be so nasty, it bullies all of the other fish around. The flowerhorn gets aggressive mostly when it comes to feeding time. The firemouth likes to act up every once in a while but gets put in check real quick. The convicts havent shown pretty much any aggression at all and im surprised but they are still kinda small at 2inches. The salvini is 4-4 1/2in, flowerhorn 3 1/2in, firemouth 3 1/2in btw. 59$ for a canister that will over filter my tank sounds amazing to me i will definately be picking it up! maybe even 2 and ditch the emperor400 HOB? I have a ? I have currently a orange crayfish that will max out at i think 6-7in will he be able to hang with the fish as they get bigger? If not is there a crustaceaon (sorry if its mispelled) that can hang with them when they are grown? Also should i keep the tiger barbs as dithers or should i get rid of them as the fish get bigger? Also thx batboi they do have some good color on them its just that my flowerhorn used to be much more colorful/ lighter in color and has darkened a good amount since i have had him in the tank. It seems to me that his patterns are sort of "fading" if that makes any sense after looking at him/her today.
 
thx clownknife! The little ones are growing quickly especially the salvini he just seems to be packing on the weight! lol
 
I really like the look of the plants and the bubbles along the back the tank. Looks great! In fact I am pretty sure that those plants are the exact same ones that I use. I buy mine at petsmart. They are cheap and far as I am concerned they are one of the more natural looking artificial plants I have found. Good job with the tank. Now just sit back and watch em grow!
 
Thx i am pretty pleased with the tank myself! I may add a clay pot into the mix in a few days. But does anyone know if there is a crustaceon that i can keep with the cichlids when they start packing on sum weight? I have the orange crayfish but the LFS said they top out at 6-7 inches i think. Any suggestions? =)
 
Nice tank and stock, but I have to agree that the FH will end up needing to be seperated from the rest IMO as they can be really nasty. I tried caryfish and Tiger Barbs... both were a no go. I had a 3-3.5" FH eat a bunch of 1" Tiger Barbs!! I did not think they could even fit into his mouth, lol. I had at least 3-4 crayfish over time, but they all got ate by my cichlids. Good luck.
 
Lol ya i have heard flowerhorns get pretty nasty but so far hes almost the same size as my salvini and is not too aggressive so far, as he gets bigger i anticipate hell get nastier though. Im thinking of maybe rehoming the firemouth but am not %100 sure yet. Jiant is that ur festae in the picture?
