Thanks. I've stacked up some driftwood into a fortress for her to get into and he's a bit too big. She can hide when he's on the rampage. For the most part they swim around together like best friends.

The substrate is a mixture of Black Tahitian Moon Sand and Eco-complete Planted Aquarium Substrate. The Eco-Complete is kinda high dollar at $26.99 a bag but I really wanted it.
 
I have been told that the females are the killers more than the males, been told this from many breeders. This occasionally happens during the mating process. That's why I have extras of each.

Holy Sh*t! That's the story of my Festae life. My female has killed four males and 3 females. I started out with 6 F1's from Rapps-2 male/4 female. Over time this one killed all the others. I introduced another male and she killed him. I then paid a lot of money for a wild caught 6" male and she killed him too. I finally came across a male that's quite a bit larger than her and she has submitted to him. I think she's in love. lol :hearts:
