i had this happen but it went from no hump to a small one like when u took the pics of his color, hopefully he grow a bigger one soon

and i think its a combination of geneitics, diet and dominance just like a deer with antlers. it lacks any of the 3 and the full poltential of the hump will never show and shows best if they have all three while in the growning and maturing stages
