Check out the Hump on my 3in Tex!

This guy is no more than 3in long and already has developed a small nuchal hump. (I'm so proud!) I separated him from his last batch of fry and his mate, so he's a little beat up from defending his fry. Since then he has calmed down, but has developed the hump. Let me know what you think!

Thanks. In these pics, he is actually coming out of his breeding colors, I had removed his mate about 2 days before. His head was lighter, almost seemed white, and his back half was darker, blue/steel gray. Awesome coloration. I just put his mate back in last night, so I'll probably have fry again in a week or so!

I have never kept one but I hear about 10-12". Would be a site to see a 12"er. I love texas they are so beautiful.

Gorgeous Texas!!! I have one now thats about 6 inches... hes great but man he grows so sllllloooooooooowwwww!!
