does everything you find come with a metal stand? you did such an awesome job on the last find, have you considered making the stand from scratch?

Yeah Kinda. I guess the last two good deals came with the metal stand!!!

I have definately considered a stand from scratch, but the dolla bills kinda hold me back. I'm not gonna do a skin for this tank for a while. Plus I love being able to pull the skin stand all the way off to access the sump tank underneath. Thats a nice little feature.

Anyway.....we'll see.


I did find a wicked piece of drift wood at the beach I may throw in the new tank. I'll post up pics when its all stocked up.

I don't know what an xp3 is but I have a huge power head in there with a sponge like filter thing going on.

Stock list right now is a 7 inch LMB 5-6 inch Small mouth and two Pumkinseed sunfish about 3-4 inches.

I agree with Taz. I have two different sized Cascades canisters. The biggest one they made and the next size down. The smaller one I only use to vacuum up crap from the bottom of my tanks and the bigger one is running in conjunction with a wet dry filter and an emperor 400 on a 125 gallon tank.
