for a vehicle that size... HP has nothing to do with offroading anyways... well a little. but its all about torque.

sure i could drop a Cummins in there and get 410hp and 460 ft/lbs of torque.. but will it fit?

small light vehicle with a small engine. 100hp is plenty. those things are smaller than the arctic cat side by sides and the AC 1000 has less than 100hp...

rhino is a 450, 660, and 700... not under powered, but not the most powerful. i like the AC's. i was lookin at them at BPS the other day. i have a Grizzly 660 and it'll go anywhere! and these are i think 2 cylinders...? what do the Smarts run? inline 3 or 4?

Yes 2,the 660 and 700 run the yamaha raptor engines pretty much,but now yamaha is pretty much desighning to just to compete in the utv mx and xc,Got any pics of your quad?I actually race Pro am in the ama on a yfz but I always enjoy seeing other quads and im unsure with the smart cars

With that said, you guys can have your smart cars. I don't want to get hit by an old farm truck when I'm in one. I don't care what the crash rating is haha. Freightliner @ 60 vs smart car equals dead smart car driver.
