I guess some people like that, but IMHO it would be more impressive if it was a biotope that actually existed. If planted tank people took the approach that reef people do, then it would be much more than an aquatic inverted bonsai.

No offense, but you say it like no planted people do bio-types and that every reef keeper does?

sweet. Is that a plywood tank or acrylic or what? Beautiful either way. And Discus are stunning but I doubt as big as claimed.

I think his attitude was that most planted tanks are not biotopes, but nearly all reef tanks are biotopes.

Holy mother nature! That tank is amazing! Hopefully in the future I will attempt at this with my 55 gallon.
