Anyone have any experience with these little guys. I think it s beautiful fish with a very localized location.
Beautifull darter..... its beauty reminds me of the Niangua darters we have here, one of the largest darters but unfortunately it is endangered and cannot be collected. I wish the Mo. DNR would stock/ breed them like they do trout and sell excess offspring to the public, if all the states would do this with endangered fish species it would help pay to preserve their enviroment and restocking.

You basically have to turn over rocks with your net ready to scoop them up. They will just swim from rock to rock if you keep overturning. They are hard to see from above because they are dark from the top. To me they aren't the most aquarium hardy native fishes either!

thats why you get a seine....rainbows are fairly very easy to catch.

tangerines are very pretty. they are the largest darter. they should be left alone...they arent that common
