Not my cup of tea...

Its a nice aro though.

Mutilating an animal for your amusement is the same as killing children in their sleep. Actually, I like animals more than children.

I think God gave us enough kinds of fish not to have invent any at all. I think if a person wants to mess with the make, they should just stick to dog breeding. That wasn't a knock on dogs; just on the history of them.

seeings how the actual wild Asian Aro is a thing of the past for the fish keeper...
Farm raised and selective breeding is going to produce all kinds of mutants, IMO.

Just look at the verieties we have now.
Were they actually available as a wild stock?
In another 150 years, I wonder what will the Aro look like?

Leave it up to man, to alter an ancient species... Kinda a bummer huh? :swear:

I don't think it was born tailless. I have carefully observed some tailless parrots, they can just barely keep balance, which means tailless is not a nature process. people cut their tails off, so the anal fin and spinal fin can grow bigger. People do anything to "make up" new species and sell for good price. I don't think this is a good idea. I hope people can against those sadistic breeders.

its like a heart shape parrots, what i know is that they are bred to have caudal fin, might be case or its a genetic defect

However it got that way I feel sorry for it.

got the pic from awakening of the dragon book. this rtg is from Dream Fish merlion arowana farm

that aros condition is clearly genetic

i mean look at the tail, the top fins look almost fused together, and there is no gap where the tail should be, or should have been, and there is no scaring like there should be if it was surgically removed.
