Lucky you! only i got was a 10g with everything it had a nice big scratch on the back but held water! the best deal i got so far was a 70 gallon with an aquaclear 70 and penguin 150 for $100! yea some people just toss em away i know just a couple weeks before i got into fish keeping (in august) my dads buddy let go a 100g with everything and stand for only $15 i was pretty disappointed!

@Trout. Im not sure what im gonna stock it with yet. Honestly i havent really touched Saltwater since i was a kid (and that time was an epic fail), but im gonna give it a shot now that im a big boy lmao. For now im slowly collecting all the stuff i need (on a tight budget) and when i get it all together im thinkin im just going to set it up with some live rock and such and just let it run for a while and then slowly add the inhabitants as i find ones i want. Im really just kinda takin my time and not in any rush to throw fish in right away when i get it set up unless i come across a deal on something that i just cant resist. For now im working on lighting (still no clue what im gonna use), a skimmer if i can find a good deal on one otherwise ill probably go DIY on that, and deciding whether i wanna try a sump for the first time (would be DIY as well) or go with canister.
So it'll be a bit before its actually set up and running. I may go ahead and set it up just with sand and a hob filter and let it start running then just slowly build from there but im still researchin alot of stuff and not sure if that would be a good idea or not yet.

I had a tank like this before - if the center brace is narrow you should be able to keep two Emperor 400s on the back with about a half inch to spare.
@Krista. Why cant you have a "big" tank? Just cuz im curious and nosey lol.
@Lusus. Yes it would fit a pair of Emperor 400's on the back, and actually had one with it when i found it. However im not thinkin Im gonna use HOB filtration on this tank in the long run if i set it up saltwater.

Fantastic find, there's nothing wrong with recycling an old tank as it would have only ended up in a land fill etc. Think a bunch of flowers etc is in order for your Mom & it might get her looking for more tanks for you. I've picked a couple up ths way over the years
lol, my mom got a big hug and a thank you and a "your the best mom in the world" (not that she needed to find a tank to be that, she already is, but i let her know again lol) and i told her i owe her a dinner out lol.
Let me know if you want to get rid of that 400 if it's the old style with the pull tab on the back. Been looking for a few of them and have some connections in KC.
