my roomate picked/rescued this bad boy up from walmart two days ago...dont know much about them but i figured i would post it....i think these pictures might be HUGE so i apologize in advance
saddly theres no such thing as "rescuing" a fish from a crappy dealer.. if you pay for it.. its a sale which means its a profit.. if its a profit.. they can and will get more.. best thing to do is not buy them which means they make no money on them.. if they dont sell.. they will stop trying to sell them.. stinks but for the "greater good" its better to just leave them to die...
haha yea ive heard that logic before but i would just soon buy them but my one purchase isnt even a drop in the bucket and it is one more that will live...so how bout we agree to disagree. ive never had one and i am just amazed at watching him swim around the tank, he is far more active then i thought they would be
yes it is a bichir...i think it is either an ornate or senegal, like i said i am a noob with these guys but my roomie sort of threw me to the wolves so im learnin as i go. but i havnt had ttime to do anyresearch today so im not sure wat kind it is
Nice , one of my all time favorite. Do not trust him with small tank mates. He looks like he needs some meat on him my young ones always Loved hikari sinking carnivore in mini size pellet. They also grew like weeds.
ok i will look to pick some of that up this weekend. what else will they eat? and about how fast do they grow, i would love for him to be able to go into my 100 gallon
