I actually just saw a couple for sale after reading this... I think they were $25.. at 2-3".. all I've seen tho so I don't know that's normal.

I've seen juvies like the ones above for less than $10 each in my area.
But LFSs are usually higher.
I got all 4 I have now as adults from a local aquarium society auction for $50.

Here's my female, at 2.5 inches in qt tank when she first arrived. Other 2 pics are her at approx 3 inches. She still changes color often, esp if she's moody :) I've had her for about 4 months.
