Lol, the classified ads are full of stuff from SoCal. I have seen other sources, like Craigslist, that have tanks over 500 gallons for a few hundred bucks.

Yeah, my lfs routinely has 4-5" fire eels for $20, but nothing that size. I kinda wish they were more because the lfs flips them quick, meaning that they're probably going to the wrong keepers.

I don't know what's wrong with GA... My lfs is asking nearly 5x that for a 12" Fire eel. Along with that I can't have rays.

Same...here in Socal they are usually no more than $20-30 and sometimes even way cheaper depending on the store.

Really? Here in Vancouver my lfs charges $200 plus tax for these guys:/

Over in my neck of the woods, babies (if you find them) are about $5 for 2x 4" fire eels...

Larger ones 18"+ go for about $20- $30

Really? Larger ones priced here were like $199 + tax, of course it's just that one shop, bet I can get them for way cheaper :/ just gotta look around
