Yeah, it's hard not to go into Africans with friends that have a ton of nice ones. I thought I was 'bad' when I had 13 tanks in my house. He has over 50 at his house alone and is now opening a lfs as a side job.

Wow, how does he afford the electrical bills & water bills when running all those tanks? I would love to know more about how he got the opportunity to open his own LFS...I would love to open my own LFS someday, although it seems damn near impossible...you must have to take some sort of small business class in college? But how do you get the startup money, a loan?

He lucked out to a degree, his family owns a warehouse building split into shops. His father allowed him to move into some vacant space and set up the shop. I don't know all the specifics but he got quite lucky. Awhile back on CL a restaurant was advertising some tanks they had, I called but they were too big for my house by a foot! He ended up scoring them - a matching set of 18 foot long acrylic tanks, about 24" high! He built a rack and has them stacked on top of eachother as a wall in the shop and has africans in them. He also sent me this photo of his dragonsblood male, much nicer than my photo.
