Check this out....white cichla....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When Pbass "wash out" they still retain the yellowish pigment on their bodies. As Laz stated they also keep their bars. Look at Li's and other pictures of fish that are out of their element and stressed. They retain the yellow pigment. This fish shows white pigment, which is never a normal pigment in any cichla I have ever seen. Even the ones we fish out of our waterways in S Fl, dont turn that white and they are stressed to the most extremes. Im going leucistic.... piebald possibly. Definatley not stressed. Stressed individuals do not carry themselves in such demeanor = usually not swimming amongst the other fish and setteled in the extreme corners of aquaria.

agreed. this fish is not just stressed. They do still retain pigment, less of it and they loose the brilliant bright colors but they do not looks the hints of their tone, this fish is white.

The Gourami and the bass are cool!

I have seen a "Platinum Azul" before. It was completely white except for the body bars and just a hint of blue in the anal fin. It was OK but I find the normal coloration nicer.

Thats what Ive been saying...lol. I really do wish to see more pics....Any members in Hong Kong??

I didnt think that a white Pea would be as imposing or impressive as normal, but the white definitely makes the other colors, especially the red stand out!

Yep - I'm sticking to my original story - just faded.

And Davo - very special :)
