Just finished drilling the holes and removing the archaic check valves. I supply the tank with 2 separate 5000 LPH pumps with 3/4" ID tubing. Flow probably increased about 25+% . Had to turn both pumps down quite a bit. I drilled 1/8" holes just below the water line. Don't even notice any flow out of the holes.
I tested the pump shut down (with a backup pump in the sump for safety). No problem at all. Works great.
