Replacing a ungrounded circuit was the main reason. It fed half of my first floor. Old wall paper has been in that hallway since I bought my house and new rock was easier then trying to skim coat the old rock.

I’ve done skim coating and I think I’d rather be hung from my skin with fish hooks from the ceiling ?
