So i have 6 cherry shrimp as posted in another thread. Im pretty sure its a 3/3 split, but what conditions do i need for breeding. Like water temp and all that. I got some moss in the tank, but do i need some driftwood or what?

yes, fishyz, i know, this kid wont stop following me

They also quite enjoy magnolia leaves . Just make sure that you don't have any fish that will eat your baby shrimp. They as you are probably aware don't have a free swimming stage which really makes rearing them a much easier prospect. You might also consider adding hiding places and screening your intakes off well.
they are super neat critters.

i was gonna put some neon tetras in there, would that be ok with the babies

Temps of 70-80F are fine, they are not picky. Keep them well-fed but don't pollute the water, and you will have more shrimp than you need. When all their food is gone, feed them again, check twice per day. They breed fast, like mice. Or guppies.

I raise RCS for the local pet store and sell them on ebay. I got the shrimp in Mar 2006. After 3 months I had so many I had to get another 10g tank. Now I have 3 10g tanks FULL of RCS. Unfortunately I don't have any fish to feed the RCS to. Maybe I should get a catfish...

How long does it take for them to grow large enough to sell?
And does anyone know the gestation period?
Is this a hijack?
It's KINDA on topic...

It takes about 3-4 months for the shrimp to reach 1/2 to 3/4 inches long. Pet shops prefer larger shrimp but the younger shrimp ship better than adults.
