Hi everyone!

I noticed today in my 175 gallon pacu tank that i have tiny little plants actually growing from the gravel! They are very little maybe only a inch long, but the only thing i can think of is it must be from the cherry tomato seeds that squirt out of the tomatos when i feed them to my pacus!

Have any of you guys had this happen to you before, and will they sprout fruit if my pacus didnt ruin the plant before hand?

Thanks for all your help.

IDK if it's a tomato plant but no it will not sprout. Tomato plants can't be grown fully submerged. I would take it out and plant it in soil to see what it is, seems werd for a plant like that to be growing in a tank, it will soon die if not taken out.

I get pomegranate seeds germinating in the GG tank all the time, I doubt they'd grow but think about it, to germinate a seed you need moisture and light, both are there in a fish tank

i would love to see what kind of plant thats started to sprout.. just curious... and wonder how it could completely submerged in water.. that is very interesting,..
