the GSP isnt freshwater by the way... DUH!! its brackish then eventually fully marine. and pea/dwarf puffers are FW and they puff. someone had them and one puffed and died
sorry i didnt relize that, but i dont see how one will die after puffing up considering they just gulp in water to puff up. how does that stress them to the point of death.
i think it might have something to do with the salinity, if its too high or something it can dissolve the mucus lining and the acid can burn through their stomache and thats obviously not good lol
