Well did anyone make it?
Me my girl friend, Lawrence and his wife ended up meeting up there. We got there at 2 but then there was a crazy long line. We didnt end up inside until after 3, I waited by the elevators till 3:30 but I figured if anyone had already gotten in by then they just went off by themselves.
So it was still a good time, if anyone else got there sorry we didnt meet up. Next time we will have to plan better, have a desginated spot with a sign or something. We should also buy our tickets online then you can just walk right up to will call and not have to wait in the long line.
Overall I loved the Shed, I am really excited to go back haha We spent about 2.5 hours walking around and still didnt get to see everything! Some of those tanks were just incredible, I found my self just looking around with my mouth open haha The shark tank was incredible, I honestly saw a trigger fish showing aggression to one of the sharks. He was nippings its fins everytime it got close to it, i was cracking up. Saw what had to be 25-30" aro that was incredible, it was so massive I was shocked, I didnt have a solid understanding of just how big they get. Also saw some massive Apigima? I think thats how its spelled. Looked like 6' maybe.
We had to rush through the last section of the aquarium near the Africans, so I saw the gars and some other large fish over there but I was getting pulled out of the aquarium haha they were closing. There was a massive puffer too! In the real large salt water tank. Very cool. The huge snapping turtle and sea horses were also really incredible.
Well anyway, sorry it didnt work out like we all hoped. Next time we will have to change a few things to be more organized.
If anyone would be interested and setting a second date to go to the Shedd before the weather got real lousy I would totally be down!
