Wow, St. John. Good to know I'm not the only fish freak in NWI.
I'm sad to say that without warning, I had a HUGE spike sometime late last night, because I woke up to 28 very dead geos and 2 struggling for life.
On the up side, the last two are still okay.
This is sadly due to my own neglect. I sometimes forget that not all of my tank have a huge canister filled with biomedia. The fry have been growing pretty rapidly lately and my single sponge filter, obviously, just couldn't handle the bioload any longer.
This happened with absoluely no warning, but is still my fault, because with fast growing fry upping the biofiltration should have been a no brainer at least a few weeks ago.
My only good news is that one of my adult pairs are holding and should be spitting by this weekend.

Thats too bad. Better luck next time. I'll be taking some of those next time your trying to move some fry.

I'll keep you in mind bro. By my calculations, they should be spitting saturday night and I'll be pulling them on monday.
