Wow !

They deffently like to pack big fish into small tanks/ boxs/ bags and what ever they can find to put them in . Same with everything else they sell . lol , some nice stuff tho .

Thanks for sharing this. Not sure what to say all the fish seem healthy looking but at the same time they are in aweful living conditions. I would imagine they expect a high volume of sales per day in order not to loose any. There selection is unbelievable too.

:mwave:

yea it's in a flea market format. conditions are poor but venture to say that most animals that are in the pet trade, have seen similar conditions.

compared to Hong Kong, it's arount 2-3 times cheaper for fish that are locally bred. Wild caught or imported fish cost more than does in Hong Kong. Hong Kong prices vary between species vis a vis global prices. For example those azul Pbass, 1ft about 240USD, bags of several largish koi, 6USD, 2 ft long silver arrow 12USD, 2ft arapaima 70USD, 1ft long birchirs 15USD, blue eye pleco 1500USD etc ... most saught after fish are the asian gold or red arrows, flowerhorns, and rays. Baby blk/white spot ray costs about 1400USD. Mind you this is already the market, which sells to general public. So one can imagine prices at the source farms.

yea monkeys, crocodiles, more or less what ever you want, and got the money...

Place is a paradise for fish keepers ... should have a visit if ever get the chance.

I just noticed your also from Hong Kong, so i just wanted to ask, did you bring any fish back from GZ to HK? or if you didnt't do you know if its possible to do so? coz if it is, i may just have to make a trip over the boarder some time soon...
