China Hi fin / Hi fin Banded shark info?

They are typically seen in colder water aquariums however if adapted to warmer waters they can tolerate it. They do grow really slow from what I've experienced in aquariums although a couple members have put them in outdoor ponds where more natural algaes and such are and noticed a sizeable increase in growth compared to normal aquariums. I'd say about .5" a month is all you'd see in a normal setting at most mine was closer to .25" a month. I think they are awesome looking as both juneniles and adults. Its in the eye of the beholder as been stated and they can grow very large given their housing available. Pics of some juvies and some adults, the 4th, 5th, and 6th pics are mine from 2.5" to about 6" over a year. ~Trent

:OMG: BIG AND UGLY. They look really nasty. Look at the size of that tank . No use in keeping them. If you have a small tank, it's cruel and if you have a big tank it's just darn fugly. I think they take beauty away from the tank instead of adding it. And to top it off they get even uglier than this when they reach their adult size. They are so cute when they're small, but after seeing this photo I have decided to never buy one. If they're endangered species, nobody should buy them.
Great minds think alike.

What I was going to say as well.:D

good to find a co-filipino fishlover here in cyberspace mate!
Nice to meet you.:D Good luck with these fish.:)

I just read about them 2 days ago, they start off so cute and high bodied and high finned. later when big they are quite low and round, no high fins either, low fin, much different than when small. For this reason and being partly cold water fish I decided against them.

update, after seeing the pics of them big on here people provided they do look pretty cool actually. The pic on fishbase was sort of ugly but maybe that was a 3 footer.
