how big were those Discus. they look huge?
that pond filter was massive as well. so water gets sprayed on the top and comes out the bottom?

seriously......despite the fact that i totally thought china wouldn't know how to deal with fish.....they obviously do!
they keep tanks ultra-overstocked at times - but the filtration usually seems up to the task....
i was asking about my top filters in another thread - and it seems as if almost all of these bigger tanks are running huge top filters --- again, basically wetdry's that they have built onto the top of the aquarium....
powerhead shoot water up and in, water filters back down into the tank....
obviously works...cuz they have clean tanks + healthy fish...
my "monster" 20gal just got finished.....and because i am in china, i am doing like the chinese.....overstocked, multi-species...things that don't match, but wayyy more than enough filtration....
will post pics later....
oh yes --- the discus ARE HUGE......at least 7-8" inches, and a diameter of min. 6".....huge...
