Like what? Protest in Tiananmen Square and get run over by tanks? This is a totalitarian regime masquerading as a free market economy that has the U.S. "most favored nation" trade status. Tourists only get to go where the government wants them to go. You can't rent a car. You can't drive yourself places. You can't even travel without a permit. That's why everything in China is routed through government owned tour companies. Foreign companies don't own anything in China--it's all done through joint-ventures with the government. The government owns everything.

well sorry if i raised a few tempers in sayin something about PETA.....i personally think they're a good organization but that's my opinion......i guess i just meant something should be done about it but you guys are right ........probaly nothing will...........
To the westernised world this is seen as deplorable, on the opposite end dogs are seen as wasteful and indulgent. Just as we keep fish, many of these fish are food in their native waters.
To the average asian in asia us whiteys smell bad. We dont understand the actions of one word 20 different meanings and inflections. Its a different culture and even if you dont like it, if its not yours - then you have no right to say what is right or wrong in this type of case.
We give money to organisations like PETA who sensationalise everything to their own advantage. Apparently according to PETA, cows are milked by robots while the cow is caged 24 hours of the day. They dont like fish keepers, they hate aquariums and zoos, half think vegetables have feelings.
Most of all, use your head - the upper one. The kneejerk reactions and the influx of donations is what PETA want. At the end of the day they dont actually care about the animals, they care about protesting outside your kids schools and pet shops.
As for rabies, if there was 50, 000 stray dogs in a city I would be reducing that population too, you cant vaccinate stray animals effectively. Dont forget the chinese government bills the families of executed prisoners for the bullet. Do you think they will waste one on a dog?
