Chinese Algae Eater With my Cichlids?

Hi, I am just wondering if you have ever placed a chinese algae eater in your tank with your cichlids, i just got a 2 inch chinese algae eater today to put in my cichlid tank, his tankmates are a 3 inch male blood parrot hybrid, 2 inch firemouth cichlid (not sure about gender), 1.5 inch male convict cichlid (no orange and a pointed fin), and 2 small striped raphael catfish. I would like to know your experience with chinese algae eaters, and do chinese algae eaters eat a lot of brown algae? thanks

be careful. i've seen it done but the algae eater is on average around the same size or smaller then the cichlids in the successes.

CAE's like to suck the slime coat off of other fish and don't really eat algae.
