Chinese hi fin banded loaches at Fish Story

Algae is certainly in no short supply but I guess it depends if it is a type they consume or prefer. I have gotten Megalodoras uranoscopus to surface feed and rather quickly. They swim upside down at the surface. I never thought they would but perhaps it is possible the high fins can too. I wonder if there feeding habits on prepared foods change as they grow larger? Hopefully you will soon find out if your current fish continue to do well.

The new TSN from Matthew added 4 inches in 2 months and likely started to bother the smallest tank mates - the smallest glass catfish and the smaller chinese hifin, so trying it in a different tank:

The duo moves to a different 240gal. Both turn out to have defects! Nasty surprise. Have never noted before but upon a closer look in a bucket saw that the smaller one has an S-shaped backbone and the bigger one has a kink in the caudal peduncle.
