I currently have a 5" chinese high fin shark. I bought him at 2" in June of 2005 so they grow extremely slow. He was housed with an ID shark for a while in a 20 gallon in the mid 70's temperature wise and is now living peacefully with some geophagus cichlids in my 55. They do better in cold water but I have had no problems with mine in 78-80 degree water for my cichlids.
Mine eats bloodworms, flakes, and algae wafers and they really like blackworms from what I've heard but they are hard to come by around me. My high fin shark has been in Ph levels from 7.4-8.2 and always done fine although I'm not sure what Ph they prefer. A little current is good for them since they are from the streams of china. They get close to 4ft I believe but at this rate it would take a long freaking time. Here's a pic of mine and a pic of some big adults ~Trent
