I've seen pictures of adults that were mostly brownish grey but this red colored one is new to me.

one place I saw listed the reddish color as the final adult form. the striped is juvenile, the drab is young adult, old adult male is red and female is purplish with red stripe.

I never verified the information.

I've had a very young one years ago but gave it away due to my other fish bullying it.It seems that they go through quite a range of colors.
